Welcome to Politics & Pentacles from Rebellious Resources!

In this community, we’ll be diving into the economics and astrology behind current and historical political events that shape our resources, values, and financial access. What do politics have to do with financial access? EVERYTHING!

Money Culture

Society has always been very specific about who is allowed to have, keep, use, and grow money. That is Money Culture - it keeps a few at the top and everyone else under their control.

In order to disrupt Money Culture, you must first understand the circumstances that create it. Those circumstances are nearly always political. Financial access is not merely about the cash on hand or the hard assets you own. Financial access is also about the freedoms and protections that give someone the ability to grow wealth and gain independence:

Bodily autonomy
Voting rights
Access to education
Employment protections
Healthcare
Safe housing
Food security

These are ALL forms of financial access, and they are all under threat. Remember - Money Culture allows only a few to be at the top; everyone else has to stay on the hamster wheel that feeds their greed.

Take a Walk on the Woo Side

You may be saying, “Okay, cool. I get the financial access thing, but what does that have to do with astrology?”

In order to understand how financial access exists and becomes threatened, we must understand how society has shaped or throttled that access over the years. Some say that history doesn’t repeat itself, it rhymes. There are valid arguments for both and an interesting way to examine that concept is through astrology.

All 9 planets (yes, we absolutely count Pluto) and the luminaries - our Sun and Moon - cycle through the 12 signs of the zodiac on a very predictable schedule that can easily be calculated both into the future and back to the past. Pick a day, time, and place, and we will know exactly what the astrology of that event looks like. This provides a wonderful overlay to historical events, where we can glean patterns - be they rhyming or repeating - and adds context to the political energy of the time. With any luck, that helps us see these patterns as they begin to show up again.

It’s okay if you’re not familiar with how astrology works. We’ll break down the concepts and illustrate how they manifest themselves with real-life examples. If the “woo” is not for you, that’s okay. There will still be a lot of “WOW! I didn’t know that!”

However, we draw a hard line at inciting or promoting violence. We believe in serving democracy through ballots and bills, NOT bullets. Anyone who advocates for violence will be removed from the Politics & Pentacles community regardless of whether they are a free or paid subscriber.
